This natural wonder is located in Cusipa one of the 8 districts of Quispicanchis, Region Cusco. Rainbowmountain is part of the Ausangate Trek, a hike around the fifth highest mountain of Peru. The Ausangate is considered one of the most important mountains in the Andean cosmology. The hike begins in Phulawasipata and takes us uphill along pastures with grazing sheep and alpacas and stunning views of the surrounding snow-capped mountains. After the strenuous hike we reach the highlight, a mountain covered in different minerals which paint 7 distinct colors onto its surface.
